Bowen was absolutely beautiful. Bbq dinner by the ocean, gorgeous little bays where the kids could climb rocks and play in the sand. I could quite easily stay here a week. But like most spots like this, unless you book months in advance, it's booked out by grey nomads staying for several months every year. It's been something we have come across almost everywhere, all the good sites are booked out, and if you're only staying one or two nights, you get the sites that have the least grass and the farthest from the amenities.
Now that I have discovered the cause of the oil leak and spoken to the guys at Mitsubishi in Proserpine, very eager to get there and get parts ordered. Not before a pic with the giant mangoes.
