Longreach

You certainly can't mistake arriving in Longreach! It was a surreal moment when that infamous red tail came into view. 

I was quite surprised at how busy Longreach was. I have waited a long time to get here and it didn't disappoint. We booked quite a few things to do, including the paddleboat cruise and stage coach ride, along with the QANTAS & Stockman's museum. Really enjoyed the Stockman's show, cruise and dinner. There were a few things I could have happily bypassed that were part of the package but all in all it was a fabulous couple of days. We stayed at the Longreach tourist Park, facilities were pretty good. 

The Kinnon and Co cruise was great, a paddleboat ride up the Thomson River watching the sunset, then returning for a Stockman's dinner and show. Late night for the kids but definitely worth it. 

Easy place to fill 4 or 5 days if you wanted.
